WAVETAILOR – Horizon Europe project‘s partner LORTEK recently published an article about the project in a Spanish Magazine, Revista tecnologias de fabricacion IMHE titled ‘Efficient and sustainable laser additive manufacturing by direct deposition of multi-material components’.
European industry faces a huge challenge in finding the right and affordable technologies for a massive transition to a clean and climate-friendly production system, enabling the development of sustainable products. Laser Beam Additive Manufacturing (LBAM) is a fast, flexible and reconfigurable method for manufacturing parts with complex geometries and high precision. It has the potential to be one of the most appropriate and affordable manufacturing technologies that meets the criteria of Sustainable Production (sourced from sustainable materials; manufactured and assembled sparingly; designed to be recyclable and reusable throughout its life cycle).
