Exciting Visit to Prima Additive‘s Cutting-Edge Facilities!
WAVETAILOR – Horizon Europe project had the pleasure of visiting PRIMA Additive’s state-of-the-art facilities in Collegno, near Turin, on the 23rd of April. Joining us were partners JOANNEUM RESEARCH, Coventry University, and Z Prime, along with the experts from nLIGHT, Inc. Together, we delved into stimulating discussions surrounding the ongoing optomechanical advancements spearheaded by our Italian partners.
The morning session brimmed with fruitful exchanges, where ideas were shared and insights gained. Following this enriching discourse, the afternoon unfolded with a hands-on experience at the impressive double-wavelength PRIMA PG 150 machine. Here, our digital partners had the invaluable opportunity to acquaint themselves with the cutting-edge sensing solutions and monitoring tools integrated into the machine. Moreover, they immersed themselves in a practical session, gaining firsthand experience with the machine’s software.
Meanwhile, our colleagues from JOANNEUM RESEARCH engaged in a tailored workshop, mastering the intricacies of the machine operation. From seamlessly adjusting optical setups to maneuvering the software’s basic functions, they navigated through the technical landscape with finesse.
This visit not only deepened our understanding of PRIMA Additive’s groundbreaking technologies but also fostered collaborative bonds essential for driving innovation forward. We eagerly anticipate the synergies that will emerge from this enriching encounter, propelling us towards new heights of excellence in additive manufacturing.
